Mundane

Today was one of those days that we will have thousands of throughout our lives.

I slept restlessly last night due to more sad news. I had a nightmare that I was in a cabin on the edge of a mountain and it broke away. I heard a loud noise and then had a falling sensation. I vividly remember thinking that this was it, death, and falling into an endless black hole. Yeah.

I spent the day knitting and listening to depressing German opera on CBC and thinking about the sad news that has plagued the last year. Of my family who can't seem to shake grief and of my extended family who are far more affected than we are.

I needed a pick-me-up so I hitched myself up the road to pick up my favorite snack and some chocolate. I hear chocolate makes things more bearable.
